Obama's Mother In Law Stay In White House Permanently:London, Feb 17 : It seems like U.S. President Barack Obama's mother-in-law's move into the White House will be permanent.
Marian Robinson, a widow, lived her entire life in Chicago. While there was some resistance at first, now she has become “quite the lady about town” Obama said.
The ‘First Grandmother’, whose primary role is to look after her granddaughters Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8, has been carving out a new life for herself, reports Times Online.
Robinson told CBS television last year: “They’re dragging me with them, and I’m not comfortable with that. But I’m doing exactly what you do: You do what needs to be done.”
Robinson takes her granddaughters to and from school just about every day, has made friends, goes shopping on her own and enjoys watching performances at the Kennedy Centre.
Obama said. “The nice thing is that she just walks out the gate and goes.”
Recently, Michelle Obama said that her mother seems content in her new home.
“She wasn’t completely kicking and screaming, but it was clear that her preference would be to remain in her old life, and that this new White House, all this stuff, she could just hear about,” the first lady said. “So I’m happy that she’s really settled in and feels like this is home
for her, as well,” she said.
