Pakistan Standard Time Not Change:ISLAMABAD: Federal Ministry for Interior Affairs Saturday withdrew the notification regarding advancement of clocks by an hour.
Detailing the decision, in a statement from Interior Ministry, it is revealed that the withdrawal of notification was done on the directives of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.
The Pakistan’s Standard Time (PST) now will remain unchanged.
It may be recalled, federal interior ministry resolved to forward PST by an hour from April 1st in order to save daylight and the notification had been issued in this connection.
Subsequently, the decision prompted members National Assembly to oppose, forcing PM Gilani to take back decision.
Issuing directives to withdraw notification, in his statement, the Premier said no action would be taken in contradiction with the opinion of members national assembly.
