UFC 111 Results GSP vs Dan Hardy: Saturday evening, was the UFC 111 Event, with Welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy going head to head in the main event. GSP was able to take out Hardy in a unanimous decision. The judges scored the round 50-43, 50-44, and 50-45 in Pierre’s favor. Hardy gave it his all, fighting off two submission attempts, and making it all five rounds, during UFC 111.
In other UFC 111 news, the Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin fight was entertaining to say the least. Official time was 3:48 in the first round, with Carwin beating the daylights out of Mir. Another tidy fight, was the 2:47 battle between Nate Diaz and Rory Markham. Markham came out swinging and missing, and before longufc Nate Diaz was dominating the fight, ending it quickly. Ricardo Almeida vs Matt Brown matchup lasted nearly two rounds. Almeida was able to land a nasty blow above Brown’s eye, and with blood pouring, Almeida finished him off with a choke-out.
