The Day begun with 22-gun salute at the Federal Capital while 21-gun salute at all the four Provincial Capitals to mark the day.
The Pakistanis hold special prayers for the solidarity and integrity of the country, while national holiday has been announced. Different political parties and organizations are holding programmes to commemorate the most outstanding day in the history of Muslims of the Sub-Continent.
