PML-N And NWFP Meeting Over Without Decision

PML-N And NWFP Meeting Over Without Decision:ISLAMABAD: A meeting of PML-N central organizing committee and NWFP organizing committee over renaming of NWFP remained inconclusive after PML-N NWFP insisted on “Afghania”.

The meeting held at Punjab House here. The chief of PML-N Mian Nawaz Sharif presided the meeting.

According to sources, Nawaz while addressing the meeting said country is facing problems because of the delay in judges' restoration and delay in constitutional amendments. He said appointments through judicial commission and parliamentary commission will produce positive results.

About change of name of NWFP, PML-N leader said NWFP is not a name and the province should get a proper name. The province name should not create impression that we are against of any nationality.

The members of NWFP expressed reservations on the name Pakhtoonkhawa and demanded that province should be name "Afghania", sources said.

Decision on this matter was postponed till PML-N central organizing committee and joint parliamentary committee meeting.

Opposition leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Raja Zafarul Haq, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Ishaq Dar, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Saranjam Khan, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Sardar Yaqoob Nasir, Khawaja Saad Rafiq and other key leaders of PML-N are present in the meeting.
